IU School of Medicine Medical Student Education has appointed Megan Christman, DO, FACOG, to serve as director of Phase 3 curriculum. Since 2017, Christman has led the Obstetrics and Gynecology Clerkship as statewide director. She has also served as co-chair for IU School of Medicine’s Clinical Component Committee that governs the statewide delivery of the school’s clinical curriculum.
As the Phase 3 curriculum director, Christman will lead a statewide team of professional faculty and support staff to manage, continuously improve and bring innovative advances to the curriculum for fourth-year medical students. In collaboration with statewide selective and elective directors, she will help coordinate clinical faculty recruitment, development and retention for the delivery of Phase 3 statewide.
Christman joined the IU School of Medicine faculty in 2016 and is an assistant professor of clinical obstetrics and gynecology. She has served on the Clerkship Working Group, the Curriculum Council Clinical Component Committee and the Core Curriculum Steering Committee.
