Center for Anatomy and Physiology Education

The Department of Anatomy, Cell Biology & Physiology at Indiana University School of Medicine is addressing the growing need for qualified anatomy and physiology instructors across the educational spectrum through a unique outreach program known as the Center for Anatomy and Physiology Education (CAPE). From high school anatomy and physiology classes and college pre-professional programs to new health professional schools, the department’s award-winning faculty provides anatomical training in gross anatomy, neuroanatomy, embryology, histology and physiology through this program.

Full-Scope Training

The Department of Anatomy, Cell Biology & Physiology provides anatomy and physiology educators as well as educational resources to undergraduate institutions; health professional programs, including MD, DO, PA, PT, OT; offshore medical schools; and medical device manufacturers. Continuing education courses are available for physicians and other healthcare providers in anatomically intensive disciplines. The department also provides online courses for distance education. Summer remedial courses for medical students and summer anatomy camps for high school biology teachers are available.
