Biostatistics Research

Faculty in IU School of Medicine’s Department of Biostatistics and Health Data Science have varied interests and experience in collaborative research pursuits that have led to longstanding relationships with collaborators throughout IU and across the world. Faculty have served as PIs on global AIDS studies, such as the International epidemiology Database to Evaluate AIDS (IeDEA) and published first author manuscripts in Alzheimer’s disease, cardiovascular disease, sexually transmitted infections, and Huntington disease. The Department of Biostatistics and Health Data Science maintains ongoing collaborative relationships with researchers working in aging research, cancer, cardiology, dentistry, endocrinology, gastroenterology and hepatology, geriatrics, internal medicine, neurology, psychiatry, nursing, veteran’s affairs, pediatrics, and many other disciplines. The team’s primary collaborative mission is to expand the scope and quality of the school’s collaborative research program in all areas of health-related research and ultimately improve the health of Indiana and beyond.
