Orientation 2023 - Get to Know Your Lead Advisors

Lead Advisors serve as medical students’ primary advising contact at Indiana University School of Medicine through all four years of medical school. Each MD student is assigned a Lead Advisor by their first-year campus, and the relationship follows the IU School of Medicine College/House structure. Students are required to meet with their Lead Advisor one-on-one at least three times each year.

The 2022-2023 Gold Humanism Honor Society induction ceremony took place on October 2, 2022, at the Indiana Landmarks Center. The IU School of Medicine chapter inducted 37 students, six residents, and four faculty.

Graduation 2022: Resilience through it all

351 physicians graduated from Indiana University School of Medicine on Friday, May 13, 2022. This class of physicians completed their whole clinical experience through the COVID-19 pandemic, learning to be resilient through the trials with grace and persistence. Some of these outstanding medical professionals now share their feelings about their graduation.

Class of 2024 White Coat Ceremony elicits great expectation

For the first time at IU School of Medicine, the White Coat Ceremony for medical students in the Class of 2024 will occur between the students' transition between Phase 1 and Phase 2 of medical school—in advance of clerkships. This significant ceremony takes place on April 18, 2022.
