IU endocrinologists receive esteemed JDRF awards for contributions to type 1 diabetes research

Two IU School of Medicine faculty members have been recognized for their significant contributions to type 1 diabetes research by the leading global research and advocacy organization for the disease, JDRF. Linda DiMeglio, MPH, MD, was announced as the co-recipient of the 2023 George Eisenbarth Award for Type 1 Diabetes Prevention, and Viral Shah, MD, received the 2023 Mary Tyler Moore and S. Robert Levine, MD, Excellence in Clinical Research Award.

Mid-American Math Alliance at IU Indianapolis

In just his first year at Indiana University, Assistant Professor Dr. Felix Pabon-Rodriguez is already making a big difference.

Dr. Pabon-Rodriguez is the Founding member and Director of the Mid-American Math Alliance (MAMA). The Alliance is a regional organization that will support historically underrepresented and minority students from the Midwest to pursue graduate degrees in the mathematical and statistical sciences. IU School of Medicine has partnered with the Ohio State University and the University of Michigan for MAMA.
