At the event, taking place June 14, providers from the Indiana University School of Medicine Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology provide breast and cervical cancer screenings. Partner organizations will provide mammograms, family planning services, HIV testing, HPV and other vaccinations, and more.

Patients may receive personalized treatment plans and help with prescriptions or referrals to medical specialists, if necessary. Representatives from various community health programs will be on hand to connect interested patients with further services and education.
See, Test and Treat events provide essential, diagnostic medical care to underserved populations across the country. These events address health disparities “by reducing barriers to care for medically underserved people through health care system partnerships,” according to the CAP Foundation.
Amid the COVID-19 pandemic, closing gaps in care is essential as many patients may have been unable to receive regular health screenings. These issues disproportionally impact at-risk communities.
This is the fifth year Indiana University National Center of Excellence in Women’s Health has received grant funding for the event.
