Led by Mary Dankoski, PhD, executive associate dean for Faculty Affairs and Professional Development, this team nurtures a culture that promotes faculty vitality and diversity; provides development activities that ensure effective and successful recruitment, appointment, retention and promotion; and trains and educates visionary, innovative leaders who are capable of promoting the school’s mission and capitalizing upon emerging challenges.

Dankoski’s interests include the advancement of women and underrepresented minority faculty, the study of faculty vitality, identifying how policies shape faculty life, and organizational and faculty development in academic medicine. Under her leadership, Faculty Affairs and Professional Development focuses on five key priorities to advance IU School of Medicine: faculty affairs, professional development, diversity, wellness along with faculty vitality and engagement.

IU School of Medicine names new chair to lead Department of Radiology

Indiana University School of Medicine has named a transformative leader as the new chair of the Department of Radiology and Imaging Sciences. Jason W. Allen, MD, PhD, FACR will assume the role of department chair effective October 1 and will have oversight and responsibility for the program’s clinical, educational and research programs.
