The Department of Medical and Molecular Genetics Staff Awards recognize employees who demonstrate a contribution in addition to their regular duties in their role. The symposium committee will review the nominations blindly (names redacted) and vote for the top five peer to peer nominated recognitions, top five leadership nominated recognitions, and one DEIJ recognition.
Peer to peer recognition: Nominate a staff member who went above and beyond their normal duties to assist you with a task or project.
Leadership recognition: Nominate a staff member who has made a significant contribution to your lab, division or project.
DEIJ recognition: Nominations will be taken for a staff member who has demonstrated exceptional support of and made extraordinary contributions to diversity in the department.
- Employees must hold a full-time appointment position within IU School of Medicine and be employed on the date of the symposium.
- Employees must have a minimum of one year of service in the department.
- Contributions must have been made within 12 months of the nomination.
- Employee has not won a staff award during the symposium in the past five years.
The nomination process will be open until Tuesday, August 15.
