Neurology Residency

Where research and diverse clinical training create an immeasurable resident experience

The Indiana University School of Medicine Department of Neurology offers two residency programs: Adult Neurology and Child Neurology. Both offer trainees a unique experience learning from nationally-recognized neurologists at several hospitals and clinical sites across Indianapolis.

With a heavy emphasis on the traditional education aspect, the Adult Neurology Residency Program provides residents with the best opportunity to care for patients. Residents are encouraged to pursue original ideas as well as use their experience in patient care to formulate questions that can be addressed during lectures and other mentorship opportunities.

The Child Neurology Residency Program focuses on clinical evaluation and management at the school’s partner hospitals in Indianapolis to provide clinical competence in general neurology. This program emphasizes child patients and offers residents an experience to work at Riley Hospital for Children and gain expertise in diverse outpatient settings.
