The Division of Gynecologic Oncology researches new treatments and cares for people with gynecologic cancers. The division has experienced significant growth since 2020, adding several new faculty members and gynecologic oncology specialists. Gynecologic oncology clinics also expanded to Sidney and Lois Eskenazi Hospital.
The department also celebrated the opening of the new Indiana University Health North Hospital Joe and Shelly Schwarz Cancer Center in January 2020. The new center allows gynecologic oncology specialists to expand services on the north side of the city. The division touts an advanced practice provider to help with patient care and the increase in volume at IU Health North and looks forward to continuing to grow the practice there over time.
