Global Health Track

The Global Health Residency Track at Indiana University School of Medicine offers a unique resident experience for those with aspirations to better understand the social, economic, cultural and environmental factors that contribute to health and disease throughout the world. Residents are required to complete an international field elective, attend quarterly global health conferences, and regularly meet with their global health mentor.

Our current resident Amy Dursteler is the first radiation oncology resident in the Global Health Track. She speaks about the program in the blog post below. Many residents choose to participate in the Academic Model Providing Access to Healthcare (AMPATH) program. IU School of Medicine started AMPATH as an international partnership with Moi University in Eldoret, Kenya.

The Clinician Educator Training Pathway is a two year residency track training the next generation of clinician educators. The program provides not only the skills and knowledge but also a stimulating environment of like minded individuals to succeed as clinician educator.

Our current radiation oncology resident Mona Arbab is the first radiation oncology resident on the clinician educator residency track.
