Instructions

Enter the average region of interest measurements of the pancreas in a homogenous part of the gland avoiding vessels, dilated duct, retroperitoneal fat or adjacent bowel loop.

(FF) Fat fraction is calculated from T1 DIXON series fat only and water only images.

(AVR) Arterial-to-venous enhancement ratio is calculated by entering T1-weighted signal during the unenhanced, arterial, and pancreatic venous phases.

(PTD) Pancreatic tail diameter (cm) is measured perpendicular to the pancreatic duct (or axis of the pancreas).

(PDE) Pancreatic ductal elasticity is a parameter necessary to generate CP-SMRI score. PDE is considered “present” if there is increase in pancreatic ductal diameter more than 1 mm during any time point of the post-secretin dynamic phase.

T1 DIXON Series

Pre- and post-contrast phases (T1W Gradient Echo with Fat Suppression)

Pancreatic Tail Diameter (cm)

Pancreatic Ductal Elasticity (PDE)

Enter only if secretin enhanced MRCP was performed.

CP-MRI score of 2.7 yields a sensitivity of 82% and specificity of 73% for diagnosis of CP, while the same CP-SMRI yields a sensitivity of 88% and specificity of 70%.
