Why Indianapolis?

Trung Tran, MS, PhD, PGY 1

"Indianapolis is geographically expansive, and residents will definitely have opportunities to visit various parts of the city. Wherever you may find yourself, there will likely be something nearby that suits your fancy. I myself quite enjoy a good cuisine."

Juan Vasquez, PhD, PGY 1

"I like living in Indy because it’s a super affordable, pedestrian friendly city, which means that no matter where you live in Indy, you are always within walking distance from some of the best bars, breweries and restaurants. And as someone coming from the South, I have really enjoyed getting to experience some of the beautiful seasons the Midwest has to offer!"

Michael Abel, PhD, PGY 2

"My friends and I will gather at one of the many breweries to trade stories over a pint or a cocktail. We tend to prefer the quieter scenes, but excitement does tend to be contagious in the heat of a big game! Whatever your style, Indy and its ‘burbs have you covered!"

Emily Diller, PhD, PGY 2

"I'm a potter at one of the local studios, which makes Indianapolis' impressive art scene all the more exciting! And with areas like Fountain Square, Mass Ave and Broadripple, it's easy to find entertainment. Some of my favorite events include live music at Hi-Fi and Shakespeare in the park at White River State Park."
