Pilot and Feasibility Program

The Center for Diabetes and Metabolic Diseases Pilot and Feasibility (P&F) program provides funding for projects that have outstanding potential to open an area of diabetes-related research to both new and established investigators in a diverse scientific disciplines at IU School of Medicine, Indiana University Purdue University – Indianapolis (IUPUI), and Purdue University. The objective of this program is to foster the development of a community of productive, well-connected investigators whose work leads to advances in the treatment of diabetes and its complications.

The P&F program is directed by Jeffrey Elmendorf, PhD, associate professor of cellular and integrative physiology, biochemistry and microbiology.

Applications for CDMD Pilot and Feasibility funding for are due by March 27, 2023 (letter of intent due by February 27, 2023).
